Squash and Racketball
The Club has seven courts including three glass-back courts, one of which is a new all-glass show court. The courts are maintained are to a high standard. Coaching is available. Rackets and foot-wear can be supplied.
All-Glass Court 7
Court 7 was formally opened by Jonah Barrington, OBE, on 2nd January 2004, featured by an Exhibition Match (Nick Matthew v James Wilstrop) and attended by many friends of the Club.
This fantastic court is available for bookings. It is the first permanent all-glass court in a members club anywhere in the UK. Players use white balls which are available from the Club shop.
Club Shop
The shop is run by Oliver Sport UK and has some of the best prices around for squash and fitness equipment. You will get a warm welcome from friendly Reception staff. Club Pro, Mark Hornby, also offers a racket re-stringing service.
Open seven days a week, the bright and spacious fitness suite is air-conditioned and features a full range of cardio-vascular and resistance machines along with a good selection of free weights. There is a large area with mats for stretching and plenty of accessories such as stability balls, skipping ropes, wobble cushions, and more. Instructors are on hand to assist with fitness programmes and ensure your safety. Some instructors can provide personal training with discounts offered to Club members.
General
Changing rooms have toilets, showers, saunas, and lockers. There is plenty of free parking monitored with CCTV. Studio 5, near Reception, hosts a variety of exercise classes open to members and non-members alike. Members can use the sports club restaurant/bar nextdoor.
